Present: Councilmembers BeaIka, Cummings, Zoller and Mayor Kimble Absent: None Also Present: City Coordinator Kriesel City Attorney Magnuson Press: Julie Kink, The Courier Mike Marsnik, Stillwater Gazette Others: Martha Hubbs, Duane Hubbs, Gary Kriesel, Glenn Thompson INTERVIEWS OF COUNCIL CANDIDATES Council met for the purpose of interviewing the following candidates for the Ward 2 Council vacancy: Charles Dougherty, Leo Miller, John Rheinberger, Tim Schmolke, and Eric Thole. Following the interviews, Council rated each candidate and the ratings were tallied. Motion by Councilmember Cummings, seconded by Councilmember Zoller to approve by straw vote the appointment of Eric Thole, Councilmember for Ward 2 with said appointment to be made at the meeting ofJanuary 17, 1995. All in favor. TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT OF WARMING HOUSE ATIENDANTS Motion by Councilmember Cummings, seconded by Councilmember BeaIka to adopt the appropriate resolution approving the temporary employment of Rod Rathburn and Chris Diethert as warming house attendants, with a salary 0[$6 per hour. (Resolution No. 95-8) Ayes - Councilmembers Bealka, Cummings, Zoller and Mayor Kimble Nays - None PROPOSED WORKSHOP SCHEDULE Council discussed the proposed workshop schedule submitted by City Coordinator Kriesel. Council requested that the Team Building Workshop be one of the first workshops. City Coordinator Kriesel said that he would submit a revised schedule based on tonight's discussion and pending discussions with the Department Heads. c\ (". r Stillwater City Council Minutes Special Meeting January 10, 1995 ADJOURNMENT Motion by Councilmember Cummings, seconded by Councilmember BeaIka to adjourn the meeting at 11 :23 p.m. All in favor.
