At their meeting of October 9, 1997, they again discussed the issue and felt that more emphasis should be placed on pedestrian safety. To do that, the Parking Commission recommends that the City Council petition MnDOT for a pedestrian crossing sign and flashing lights at Nelson and Main and that a stripped pedestrian crossing be added at Main and Commercial. With a new grocery store and Farmer's Market at this Main Street location, the need for a pedestrian crossing is more apparent. Recommendation: Consideration of request and direct staff to take appropriate action. 5c— v- L/s;\ Po 170 pi--714cfri..,- 6, ' 1 / 1 Jim Zt..//7) / A, /J . Get f ,"L Cub Foods a SUPERVALU Company 421 South Third Street PO Box 9 Stillwater.
