HomeMy WebLinkAbout1114 Ord (interim ordinance prohibiting subdivision of lots in Springcreek and Boutwell Valley Estates) ORDINANCE NO. 1114 AN INTERIM ORDINANCE PROHIBITING SUBDIVISION OF LOTS IN SPRINGCREEK AND BOOHU LL VALLEY ESTATES WHEREAS, many cities adopt interim ordinances or regulations on aspects of planning and zoning regulations to consider the impacts of certain uses and development patterns and to determine whether the regulations surrounding such uses and patterns are appropriate in order to protect the public health, safety and welfare of their citizens; and WHEREAS,the City of Stillwater is undertaking a study to consider changes to its Zoning Ordinance and City Code regarding appropriate zoning regulations for the Minar Neighborhood. NOW,THEREFORE,pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 462.355 subdivision 4,the City Council of Stillwater does ordain: SECTION 1. City Staff is directed to gather information, study alternatives and make a recommendation on how the Zoning Ordinance and City Code need to be amended to better protect public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Minar Neighborhood. SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
