APPROVE PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE
VETERANS MEMORIAL PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
PROJECT 2018-07
WHEREAS, the City hired WSB &Associates to provide engineering services for the Veterans
Memorial Parking Lot Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, WSB &Associates has prepared plans and specifications for the Veterans Memorial
Parking Lot Improvement Project and has presented such plans and specifications to Council for
approval.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
STILLWATER,MINNESOTA:
1. The plans and specifications presented by WSB &Associates are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk is ordered to prepare and cause to be inserted in The Gazette an advertisement
for bids upon the making of the improvement under the approved plans and specifications.
The advertisement shall be published twice in the Stillwater Gazette and, shall specify the
work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until Thursday,
August 30, 2018, at 10:00 am which time they will be publicly opened by the City Engineer;
will then be tabulated and will be considered by the Council at their next regular Council
meeting on September 4, 2018, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is
questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the
Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed
with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified
check payable to the Clerk for ten(10)percent of the amount of the bid.
