BLLIO'l'"1' presented to the Council the feasibility report and preliminary study for the proposed permaneilt cUke location in downtown Stillwater per council action. Copi.s of this report will be sent to the corp of Engineers for their co_nt_ _ the nI:Ist elaborate plan will be sent. Mr. Blliott requested perms.ion to make soil borings which has to go along with the preliminary report for this proposed dike location. Mr. Elliott continued the report regarding the lift stations and the storm sewers aDd the standby power units and the use of pumps during flood and high water tiMs. (Council-.n Thompson left the meet'ing at 4:25 P. M.) PARK BUIWING LOCATZOR Mr. Marshall was given permission to check into the possibility of acquiriny the property just south of the city Garage for the building site for the park Department. Jack. Shelton and Councilaan Balfanz will cont.act Ganus nei.8 about this property. LOCAL NO. 49 CONTRACT FOR 1974 On mtion of counciJ,aen Balfanz. seconded by Councilman Wohlers the council approved the contract for Local No. 49 fo~ the Street and sewer Department for 1974 and authorized the Mayor and city coordinator to execute said contract- (basically the saM as the Fire Department contract including the $10.00 per month for dependent coverage on hospitalization). MR. BLLIOTT informed the Council that the Anna Hooley property has been sold to Larry Hauge and questioned what effect this would have on the drainage problem on county Road 5.
