HomeMy WebLinkAbout8372 (Res.) r , RESOLUTION NO. 8372 NATIONAL RED RIBBON CAMPAIGN WEEK "THE CHOICE FOR ME, DRUG FREE" WHEREAS, October 21 - 28, 1990 has been designated by the National Federation of Parents for Drug Free Youth and Drug Free Youth of America as National Red Ribbon Campaign Week with the theme nThe Choice for Me, Drug Free," which will be central to the special activities.and events sponsored by the Community Prevention Project of H.S.I. in Washington County; and WHEREAS, residents of our community are asked to participate in and promote the Red Ribbon Campaign by wearing red ribbons or tying them to car antennae, mailboxes, door handles, pet collars, etc.; and WHEREAS, Businesses are asked to distribute the ribbons and encourage employees and customers to wear the red ribbons. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the week of October 21 - 28, 1990 is hereby designated NATIONAL RED RIBBON CAMPAIGN WEEK in the City of Stillwater and everyone is asked to join other communities throughout the nation and participate by wearing a red ribbon and celebrate the City of Stillwater's commitment to reduce and prevent the abuse of alcohol and other drugs.
