RESOLUTION NO. 8280
RESOLUTION VACATING PART OF HOLCOMBE STREET
WHEREAS, a petition was presented praying for vacation of a
portion of Holcombe street, City of Stillwater, Minnesota,
hereinafter described and,
WHEREAS, the Council determined that the petition was
sufficient; and that the City is a Home Rule Charter City of the
third class and that it was proper for the City Council to
proceed with the vacation pursuant to Minn. Stat. 9 440.135; and
WHEREAS, at a meeting duly called for that purpose, the City
Council did on the 1 st day of May, 1990, determine that the
proposed vacation would not interfere with or defeat the public
interest or adversely affect the public, and that it would be in
the best interest of the City of Stillwater that a portion of the
street be returned to the tax roles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Stillwater, that the petition be granted in the form
hereafter set forth and that the following part of Holcombe
Street, as presently laid out and platted, be and the same i~
hereby vacated:
The East 10 feet of that part of unimproved Holcombe Street
lying south of the North line of Lot Five (5), Block Nine
(9) of Thompson, Parker and Mowers Second Addition to
Stillwater extended eastward to the East line of Holcombe
Street and lying north of the South line of Lot Seven (7),
Block Nine (9) of Thompson, Parker and Mowers Second
Addition to Stillwater extended eastward to the East line of
Holcombe Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution duly
certified by the City Clerk shall be recorded in the office of
the County Recorder, Washington County, Minnesota.
Adopted by affirmative vote of all the members of the City
Council this 1st day of May, 1990.
