HomeMy WebLinkAbout8145 (Res.) r f' r L,I. 240 RESOImIOIf NO. 8145 Resolution Declaring' Cost to be Assessed and Ordering' Preparation of PL' 'l" sed As__t -lUIS, a contract has been let (costs have been determined) for the improvement area bounded by Minnesota Trunk Highway 36 on the South, by Northwestern Avenue on the West, by West Orleans and the extension thereof on the North, and by a line 250 ft, East of Greeley Street on the East. The area includes all portions of the City of Stillwater that are located within the area known as the "East Industrial Park Drainage Area". and the contract price for such improvement is $26,570.71. and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of such improvement amount to $28,417.73 so that the total cost of the improvement will be $54,988.44, _, '1."IIIIoImR.lIUlo, BK IT IUlSQLYm BY !lIE CI'l'!' The portion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the city is hereby declared to be $ 0 and the portion of the cost be assessed against benefited property owners is declared to be $54,988.44. 2, Assessments shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of ten (10) years, the first of the installments. to be payable with general taxes collected in 1990, and shall bear interest at the rate of 8 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of the assessment resolution, 3. The city clerk. with the assistance of the city engineer (consulting engineer) shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot. piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public inspection, 4, The clerk shall upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the council thereof, Adopted by the council this 5th day of September 19 89 fV1 ~~f~~/ ity Clerk ;}1 ak4~ Mayor n Innl II n: ifirn II!
