HomeMy WebLinkAbout7683 (Res.) r (' r .~ 000.255 RESOLUTION NO. 7683 RESOLUTION VACATING A PART OF JOHN STREET WHEREAS, a Petition was presented praying for vacation of a part of John street in the City of Stillwater, hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the City Council did determine that the Petition was sufficient; and the City Council determined that they are a Home Rule Charter City of the Third Class and that it was proper for them to proceed with the vacation pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 440.135; and WHEREAS, at a meeting duly called for that purpose, the City Council did on the 2nd day of December, 1986, determine that the proposed vacation would not interfere or defeat the public interest or adversely affect the public and that it would be in the best interests of the City of Stillwater and the abutting owners that the portion of John Street be returned to the tax rolls. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of stillwater, Minnesota, that said Petition be and the same is hereby granted and that the following part of John Street as presently laid out and platted, be and the same is hereby vacated: That portion of former John Street lying between the North line of Pine street and the South line of Lot 6, Block 21 of McKinstry and Seeley's Addition to the City of stillwater, according to the plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the County Recorder of Washington County, Minnesota. 111111 ., . . IlIlii " .1"." r r r ..lIJ,;;' "' . . .. 000254 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the conveyance of this vacated street to the abutting owner, recorded in Book 261 of Deeds page 140 is hereby confirmed and ratified. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution duly certified by the City Clerk shall be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Washington County, Minnesota.
