Mr. Turnblad briefly reviewed the proposed ordinance amendment. He noted that the change would only be in the CR, Cottage Residential zoning district. The request is to allow a driveway to have up to 18 feet of width on the street to make turning into a driveway easier. Currently only 12 feet is allowed. The driveway would taper from 18 feet at the curb line to a maximum of 12 feet at the property line. Mr. Johnson opened the public hearing, and no testimony was offered. Mr. Junker noted there had been discussion of various options and driveway configurations, but that the current proposal seemed to be the most reasonable. Mr. Junker moved approval of the zoning ordinance amendment. Mrs. Countryman seconded the motion, which passed on a vote of 3-0.
