The chairman, Tom Farrell, called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Motion by Barbara Avise, seconded by Dean Marlette that the minutes
from the. meetings of April 25, 19.83 and May 12, 1983 he approved as
written. Carried unanimously,
CASE NO., 49,1 Glenn Taylor -- property on Birchwood
Variance. Dr ye N. Gust n. of Myrtle St. West Side) -
12.6 Foot frontage variance. To be re-
considered -- see Council minutes of May
10, 19:83
Bruce Folz appeared for Mr. Taylor and explained the. survey to members.
,Mr. and. Mrs, Edward Struga)9a, 132 Birchwood Drive.were present and stated
the only thing that was not agreeable on the survey with -them was the
rear. Another neighbor, William Lecuyer, Sr. expressed his concern re-
garding the different surveys.
Motion by Josephine Vania to approve front variance with the stipulation
that the 9' be deeded to Mr. Taylor and that language be written for
Mr. Strugafa to be allowed 3' easement for maintenance of his hedges.
Motion unanimously carried.
FINAL PLAT APPROVAL Bruce Folz for Wildwood Pines and Wildwood
Pines Second Addition.
Mr. Folz explained the lots in detail. The odd size of Lot 1, First
Addition was questioned by members. The lot was designed simply to give
access to the pond in the back. Lot 6 in the Second Addition is still
in question because it has not been .filled.
Motion by Barbara Avise, seconded by Dean Marlette to approve final plat
approval with stipulation that no access on Co. 12 be allowed from lots
1 and 2, Second Addition.
Motion carried unanimously.
CASE NO. 495
Variance
Gary Harty, property on West Wilkin for
lot size 7500 square feet for a duplex --
variance of 2500 sq. feet.
Mr. Harty showed members plans of the proposed building. The plans
resemble a single-family home and the walk -out level would be the second
unit. A neighbor, Keith Hoffbeck expressed his concern that he does
not want a duplex in the neighborhood.
Motion by Josephine Vania, seconded by Douglas Seitz to deny variance.
Motion unanimously carried.
CASE NO. 497
Variance
Scott and Kathy Koester, 710 Everett
Drive for 2 ft. variance for a fence,
back yard and side yard.
Mrs. Koester showed plans for the proposed 8' fence. She explained
that this would be to block their view of the ball field and to prevent
kids from climbing over a 6' fence.
She states that one neighbor was in objection to the fence, but he
was not present and she was not sure of his reason.
Don'Hoveland, 708 Everett, was present and stated that he.is agreeable
to the fence.
Motion by Barbara Avise, seconded by Ron Newman to approve variance.
Carried unanimously.
CASE. NO. 498 William Olson, Jr. 220 E. Mulberry,
Variance Stillwater Metal/Stillwater Mfg. to
construct loading dock to the south
of commercial building encroaching
on street right-of-way (about 8 ft.)
setback variance.
Mr. Olson showed and explained plans for the proposed loading dock.
He states that the present dock can be used by orily their company because
of the insurance companies recommendation.
Motion by Douglas Seitz, seconded by Josephine Vania to grant variance.
Motion unanimously carried.
Motion by Dean Marlette, seconded by Douglas Seitz to adjourn the meeting
at 9:10 p.m.
