MAGNUSON Richard LaCasse, 1148 Parkwood Lane to remodel into a duplex. The lot is 7440 square feet - variance of 2560 square feet STILLWATER PLANNING COMMISSION PRESENT: Thomas Farrell Russell Meister Barbara Avise Josephine Vania Dean Marlette Ron Newman Alfred Roepke Dean Miller ABSENT: Allen Zepper Doug Seitz DATE: September 26, 1983 TIME: 7:00 p.m. The chairman, Thomas Farrell, called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. Motion by Dean Miller, seconded by Russell Meister to approve the minutes from the meeting of August 22, 1983. Carried unanimously. Motion by Dean Marlette, seconded by Ron Newman to approve the minutes from the meeting of September 12, 1983 with the correction of the name Charles Swnason to -.read Charles Swanson. Carried unanimously. Josephine Vania suggested that more details from meetings go into the minutes. The Commission agreed that when they specifically want something to go into the minutes to tell the secretary. CASE. NO. 509 Richard LaCasse, 1148 Parkwood Lane, to Variance remodel into a duplex. The lot is 7440 square feet. Variance of 2560 square feet. Mr. LaCasse stated the house is his parents house at the top of Myrtle. The lower level of the existing home will be the second unit. He will turn the garage downstairs into the kitchen and dining area. The downstairs completed unit will be approximately 8001. The parents have a garage off of Myrtle. The area is already zoned 2 -family. Motion by Alfred Roepke, seconded by Russell Meister to approve the request for the variance. Josephine Vania questioned parking for the lower apartment. There is ample room for off-street parking and there are no plans at present for a garage. Motion carried unanimously. FINAL PLAT APPROVAL - INTERLACHEN HILLS Bruce Foltz presented plans for final plat approval. He stated that due to the high water mark some units had to be moved hack, creating a problem. The plan moves the intersection to Co. road making it much safer. The number of units remains the same. The ordinance for grade is 8% and the road will be about 8.3. In order to -make 8% they would need to take some trees and are trying to prevent this. He states that the Co. road is about the same grade as the proposed road. Dean 7234 RESOLUTION FIXING COMPENSATION. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that the compensation of Gwen Monty, Planning Commission Secretary, be increased from the sum of $5.00 to $6.00 per hour, said increase to be effective from and after September 19, 1983.
