TIME: 7:00 P.M.
The chairman, Thomas Farrell, called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.
Motion by Dean Marlette, seconded by Barbara Avise, to approve the
minutes from November 28, 1983 as printed. Carried unanimously.
CASE NO. 516 Joe Gould, 5149 Lake Elmo Avenue North to
Special Use Permit construct one four-ple.x at Fourth and
Wilkins.
Mr. Gould showed his plans and states he could build two duplexes,
but prefers not to do so because of the hole in the property.
He states he has not talked to any of the neighbors regarding his
proposed plan. He states he is in the process of making the lot
all one parcel.
Motion by Russell Meister, seconded by Barbara Avise to approve
special use permit with the condition that the abstract for the
property be drawn up so parcel is all one piece. Motion unanimously
carried.
CASE NO. 515
Minor Subdivision and Ms. Pat Hering, 13990 81st St. N. for
possible variance minor subdivision of recently annexed
property and a possible variance on
frontage on a public street.
Ms. Hering showed members a copy of the surveyed map. It was explained
to members that the Council has already heard the case and made a
decision contingent upon this Commission's, the city engineer and the
city attorney. The proposed plan requires no variances. Samples of
the proposal will be sent to the neighbors.'
Motion by Dean Marlette, seconded by Russell Meister to approve request
for minor subdivison. Motion unanimously carried.
JOINT PLANNING COMMISSION BUSINESS
Mr. Farrell explained the discussion of the Joint Planning Commission
regarding the establishment of a transition zone. 22 acre lots would
be ghost -platted for city lots (12 acre lots to quadrants). They would
be devisable to 10,00.0 foot lots and serviceable to sewer and street.
Members were asked to review some paperwork from the Joint Planning
Commission and will be asked what their feelings are.
Motion by Dean Marlette, seconded by Russell Meister to adjourn the
meeting at 7:40 p.m.
