NEW BUSINESS
225 Main Street North Food Truck Parking Mitigation
Zoning Administrator/Assistant Planner Olson-Williams stated that with the permission of
property owner Frank Fabio, Emilio Candia of El Coronel has applied for a permit to operate
a food vending truck that would be parked in the parking lot at 225 North Main Street (Maple
Island Brewery). The Planning Commission has approved the required seasonal outdoor sales
license. Parking mitigation is also required. He added that currently, Mr. Fabio is paying for
18 spaces of mitigation and this would increase it to 19 spaces.
Commissioner Hopfe noted the potential for many more food truck requests especially after
Chestnut Street closes. Chairwoman Pelletier suggested the City consider capping the
number of food trucks allowed before there are too many more requests. The rest of the
Commission agreed.
Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Lettner, to require mitigation of
one additional parking space for 225 Main Street North. All in favor, 4-0.
