ACTION ITEMS
Music in the Park Event
Woody McBride, Genius of Fun Event Production, informed the Commission that he
believes Lowell Park is a viable option for his Music in the Park series proposed for
2018. He is open to early evening Saturdays or noon Sundays.
Public Works Superintendent Moore said special events require a public information
meeting. Surrounding property owners, the Independent Business Association (IBA),
Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and Greater Stillwater Chamber of
Commerce would be notified. The Commission would then make a recommendation
to the Council. He noted there are a couple of weekends in 2018 when other events
already occupy Lowell Park i.e. Lumberjack Days. Mr. Moore agreed to schedule the
public information meeting to be held at the July 24 Parks Commission meeting.
COMMISSION ITEMS/TOPICS
Mr. Moore clarified that the trees cut down in Pioneer Park were dead/dying.
