Special Meeting July 13. 1960
Special Luncheon meeting was held at the Grand Cafe Club Room at 12 Noon
Absent were Stennes and Brosell
Meeting was called for a review of the proposed Hooley Super Market and its
effect on the overall plan .for Stillwater.
Vice Chairman HA,gen gave a resume of the situation. Mr. Hooley spoke on the
proposed building and parking. Tom Hodne spoke on the proposed ring road and
the effect the location of the new construction would have on this proposed
road.
Discussion followed.
Mr. Schwantes moved and Mr. Johnston seconded the following motion:
As a result of this review it is the opinion of the Planning Commission that
the proposed construction does not affect PhP.se 1 of the overall plan.
Motion was carried.
Motion by Mr. Schwantes' seconded by Mr. Bergin that labor organizations
pick a member to replace Mr. Brosell who wishes to rmsign. Motion carried.
Mr. Hagen spoke on annexation, lot sizes and plats and requested that
the Commission be given more time to review end approve future plans.
Discussion followed regrar.ding District 834 and Stillwater Township.
RIr. Bergin said that Stillwater Township had voiced objections to annexation
without representation.
Mr. Crane moved that the City cooperate with the Township to the fullest
extent without additional cost to the City. 14r. Schwantes seconded. Motion
aa,rried.
August 10th was date set for next meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 2PM.
