MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING FEBRUARY 9, 1960
Meeting called to order by Chairman Stennes at 8:02AM
Roll call showed Drosell & Hooley absent. Mr. Schwantes arrived after
voting was completed.
First order of business was the regUest of Stensen & Fierke for non-
conforming use of property on the N. W. Corner of Third & Churchill St.
Chairman Stennes read a letter from Community Planning & Design Assoc-
iates relative to the above request recommending that the above request
be denied.
Motion by Bergen, seconded by Mulvey that Commission agree with our
Planning Consultants and recommend that the non-conforming use be denied.
Voting was by ballot and the motion was carried by 7 to 1.
Second order of business was the request of Nestor Harvieua for non-
conforming use of property on the N. E. Corner of Pine & Martha St.
The recommendation of our Planning Consultants recommended that this
request also be denied.
Upon motion by Hagen, seconded by Mulvey that Commission agree with
our Planning Consultants and recommend that non-conforming use be
denied. Voting was by ballot and the motion was carried 8 to 0.
Chairman Stennes urged all members to make a special effort to attend
all meetings so that a repetition of the situation at the meeting on
Monday evening would not occur.
Motion by Crane, seconded by Hagen that Chairman Stennes appoint a
committee to investigate the subject of a quorum and to make recommend-
ations at the next regular meeting. Motion carried.
The secretary was instructed to inform the City Council in writing of
the action of the Commission on the requests of Stenseng & Fierke and
Nestor Harvieux.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:45AM.
