April 9, 1962
Meeting called to order by Chairman Hagen at 3:08 P. M.
Present - Bergin, Olson, Bayes, Edstrom, Johnston, Hagen, Wilson
Melstrom, Sandeen.
Mr. Gordon Larson of T. & L. Inc. was present.
Discussion with Mr. Larson regarding Fairmeadows Plot #2 followed.
Mr. Larson explained that an area had been set aside adjoining Plot
#2 to be used for park purposes. This area being in the 2nd section
which has not as yet been plotted.
Motion by Mrs. Hayes that chairman appoint a committee to in-
vestigate the area under consideration was withdrawn for lack of
a second.
Motion by Mr. Bergin, seconded by Mr. Sandeen, that the Commission
recommend approval of Fairmeadows Plot #2 providing that the Developers
submit to the Commission and the City Council a letter stating the
approximate location of a suitable area to be used for park purposes.
Statement shall show distance from Plot#2 and size of area to be
set aside. When said described area is surveyed and platted, it
should be dedicated to the City of Stillwater for park purposes.
Stillwater's Planning and Zoning Commissions assessment in the
amount of $2.00 for expense for 1962 Metropolitan Planning Commission
was, upon motion seconded and carried, ordered paid.
The request of Mrs. Samantha Schadegg for a non-conforming use of
the property on 4th and Wilkin Street for an antique shop rias on
motion by Mr. Olsen seconded by Mr,Johnston that Commission recom-
mend granting of permit providing recommendations of the sub-
committee report of Nov. 9, 1961 be carried out. (Formerly Thompson
Filling Station) Motion carried.
Chairman Hagen informed members of progress in compiling Compre-
hensive Guide Plan.
