JAMES MULVEY At last evening' s eetin f this commission considered
two requests at great length* The first matter concerned the
request of the St. Peter'si d Church of Christ for a vari-
ance so they may build their new church withonly )

in question inside City In the first d understand
the Town of Oak Park has brought the matter before the Metro-

becomes annexed to the Cityd if the congregationcannot buy

would be goodor the area. We requested the representatives

parking,, require 13,920 spm feet® As you can see, exen
now, there is an acutel of space. Consequently, we
discussed the pos i ilityof the vacation of Oak Street
from 4th to 5th Streets with the 150 feet adjacent to
°® Wolf's property for the fall 50 feat width of the
street, revefting to Mr® Wolf. This would double the
land available and perhaps new consideration might be
given the request* Mr, Wolfts opinion is that the
surrounding property owners would have no ob ection.se
We, therefore, suggested r Wolof Investigate the poss-
ibility of the vacation of the street and acquire the
approval of the surrounding property owners and re-
apply. In the event the applicant can accomplish these
two objectives, it will be our recommendation that he
be permitted to remodel the Old. Salem Church into a
unit apartment it °n providing the building code be
observed.
