Bergen John Condon Alan Peterson William Hawkinson Frlinoff Harold Hohlt Don Carlson Ch is Thompson John Condon, Commission President presiding. Meeting opened at 7:30 P.M. 'Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Mayor William Powell was present and. extended his greetings to the members of the Commission. A general discussion was carried on 'by members and with Mayor Powell on the effective use and function of the Planning Commission. The work of this Commission is very important for the present and long range planning of Stillwater® It was felt that this Commission have a close laison -with all agencies of city government, chamber of commerce, business and the individual so it may work with and aid in the development of this community. The Commission desires to meet with the City Council and discuss future aims and desires for community devel- opment, to have policy, goals and area of responsibility re- defined. New business presented to the Commission: 1. Request by Swager Sros®, Inc. for a permit to wreck old home at 236 North Sty and construct a new duplex. Mr. Swager presented a scaled plot plan, drawings of the new proposed duplex. and submitted a letter of evidence that the majority of adjoining property owners agreed to this new constuction® Recommendation: Motion by Fred Kalinoff that the Council approve this request for special erll�,d,t providirX,�, that mi Uiproved and ample (offstr ra,ca be provided on cof,iq�)Ietion ofcons true ti on t)lot plait,) ai!id °Lhat this special permit be issued within thirty (31 clays from this recommendation. Seconded by All Peterson. Passed unaninoudly. 2. Election of Commission officers for 1967 (2) Nominations: President John Condon Vice President Fred Kalinoff Secretary Donald Carlson Motion by Alan Peterson that the secretary cast a unanimous ballot seconded by William Hawkinson. Passed. 3. Request by Commission Secretary for monetary funds to purchase new letterheads and supplies for use by the Commission. Discussion: Charles Thompson informed the Commission that a sum of one hundred (100) dollars per year is available for Commission use. Motion by Holt that said monies be used for Commission functions Seconded by Al Peterson. Passed. Don Carlson, Secretary
