Tom statc.l that it mijit not be the best tiiie for the planning Commission to approve this type of application. Mr. parent who lives 300 feet away had complained stroncyto Ann about the a :pli_cat.i_on. kr. v:anson was concerned that a single family zoned area should be changed while clos, nieghbors were away on vacation and unable to object in -person. Johnson answered that these are set by the State. As an incentive to developers the State has said they will only tax the lots when sold and not 'before as 30% will be devoted to open space. IIe does not want to pay taxes on lots he has not sold as normally hap:enss to a developer, fourteen hundred dollars per lot an an undeveloped lot is prohibitive figure for any developer. Chuck Swanson stated that he will recommend to the County that Johnson is bending over backwards to meet the council requirements. A motion was made by David Knefelkanp and seconded by Russell Weitz that the City write a letter to the D.H.R. requesting that; permission be given to Dave Johnson to commence the cleaning of the Brown' s Creek area. Ann Bodiovick brought up the question of the Anderson shelter for delinquent children. She had been approached by neighbors compla_Lnin;: that originally there had only been 3 children in the home but that now Dick had pans for 2J0 children and only having counsellors 7 ..v:i_.ng ;n the house as he will be moving out. It will now be termed a 'Iholu.inr; hoioe=l. Ann felt t.ha;. this would be a;:ainst the loenl zoning ordinance. There was some discussion on the matter, but no conclusions were reb.chod it being the feeling that Dick Anderson was doing very uoeful work, and members wondered hon,: navy people lived in the still a ser home across the street from the Anderson hone.
