HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-220 (Police Officers Labor Agreement)RESOLUTION 2015-220 APPROVING THE 2015-2016 LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF STILLWATER AND LELS POLICE OFFICERS LOCAL 257 BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Stillwater, MN that the 2015-2016 Labor Agreement between the City of Stillwater and LELS Police Officers Local 257, as on file with the City Clerk is hereby approved with the following changes: • Contract duration - 2 year agreement, January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016; • Wages - 3% increase - 2015; 3% increase - 2016; • Health Insurance - Retain employer contribution for 2015, increase employer contribution for family plan by $20 for 2016; • Uniform Allowance - Provides officer uniform allowance within budgeted department uniform allocation; • Shift Differential - Employees are eligible for $.50/ hour shift differential between hours of 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM; • Longevity - Increase longevity dollar amounts effective January 1, 2016; • Overtime - Adding clarifying language to this clause; • Savings and Insurance Clauses - Includes language in the Savings Clause and the Insurance Clause regarding the Affordable Care Act (ACA) - in the event provisions of the contract are found in non-compliance with the ACA via court actions, legislation or administrative rulings, the parties will meet to bargain over alternative provisions to comply with the ACA; • Deleted Clauses - Antiquated sick leave and longevity clauses deleted from contract. • POLICY - Comp Time - Modify allowable comp time accrual from 40 to 60 hours. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Stillwater City Council authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to sign the agreement.
