APPROVING THE 2015-2016 LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF STILLWATER AND
MINNESOTA TEAMSTERS PUBLIC AND LAW ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEE'S UNION,LOCAL NO.
320, REPRESENTING STILLWATER PUBLIC MANAGER'S ASSOCIATION
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Stillwater, MN that the 2015-2016 Labor Agreement
between the City of Stillwater and Minnesota Teamsters Public and Law Enforcement Employee's
Union, Local No. 320, Representing Stillwater Public Manager's Association, as on file with the
City Clerk is hereby approved with the following changes:
• Contract Duration - 2 year agreement,January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016;
• Wages - 3% increase - 2015; 3% increase - 2016;
• Grievances Procedure-Adds language for"Election of Remedies"in the event that more than
procedure is available for resolution of a grievance,the employee is limited to one procedure
through which remedy to the grievance may be sought.
• Savings Clause - Added language providing that should any provision of the contract be
declared to be contrary to law by a court or administrative ruling, the contract provision
shall be void and all other provisions of the contract remain in full force and effect. The
voided provision may be renegotiated at the request of either party.
• Health Insurance - Retain employer contribution for 2015, increase employer contribution
for family plan by$20 for 2016;
• Includes language regarding the Affordable Care Act (ACA) - in the event health insurance
provisions of the contract are found in non-compliance with the ACA, the parties will meet
to bargain over alternative provisions to comply with the ACA.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Stillwater City Council authorizes the Mayor and City
Clerk to sign the agreement.
