Present: Terry Alliband, Marlene Workman, Dick Haurer, Maureen Lodge, Ray Zaworksi, Maury Stenerson and Shirley Tibbetts Others: Ann Pung - Terwedo 1. Ray Zaworski was introduced as a new member of the Heritage Preservation Commission. 2. Maury Stenerson discussed the nomination of the Stillwater - Houlton Interstate Bridge to the National Register. Recently, a gentleman by the name of Jeff Hess was hired by the Minnesota Historical Society to research lift bridges in the State of Minnesota. Discussion was raised on the of research he will conduct. Will it be technical with other bridges similar to the Stillwater - Houlton Interstate Bridge or will he draw on historical backkground? Ann will call Jeff Hess to find out this information. The Commission agreed that.a separate nomination by the City should still be submitted. 3. Maury described the procedures for local designation of National Register Sites in the City of Stillwater. Further discussion on this subject at a later date. 4. Shirley Tibbetts was unanimously appointed by the Commission to represent the Washington County Historical Society. 5. The Commission reviewed a wonderful scrapbook on the plans of Lowell Park and other areas of Stillwater between 1910 -1925. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
