HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-04-15 CHC MIN Charter Commission April 15, 2002 Chair Wayne Anderson called the meeting to order at 7 :05 p.m. Roll call was taken. Present were: Wayne Anderson, Gene Bealka, Richard Colemier, Chuck Donnelly, John Lund, Gary Kriesel, Nile Kriesel, Patrick Needham and Mary Ruch. Also present were City Clerk Diane Ward, City Attorney David Magnuson and Ryan Smith, engineering. Approval of minutes: Mr. Colemier, seconded by Mr. Bealka, moved approval of the minutes of the special meeting of April 1, 2002. Motion passed unanimously. Redistricting Public Hearing Mr. Anderson turned the meeting over to Mr. Colemier. It was noted the public hearing notice had been published in the Stillwater Gazette as required by law. Mr. Colemier explained that the proposed Plan C varies slightly from the last meeting, with a small portion of Ward 2 moved back to Ward 3. Also the numbering of the precincts was changed according to a recommendation from Washington County. Mr. Anderson opened the public hearing. John Rheinberger, 818 W. Olive Street, Ward 2 City Councilman, read a prepared statement outlining his reasons for favoring the revised Plan C over Plan B. There were two other residents in the audience; neither desired to speak to the issue. Mr. Anderson closed the public hearing at 7:15 p.m. Mr. Bealka moved to adopt Plan C and moved to adopt Resolution 2002-87. Mr. Donnelly seconded the motion. Roll call was taken. Voting in favor were Wayne Anderson, Gene Bealka, Richard Colemier, Chuck Donnelly, Gary Kriesel, Nile Kriesel, John Lund, Patrick Needham, and Mary Ruch. Voting against, none. G.
