RE: Discussion of McGlynn Shuttle Concept
INTRODUCTION
Mr. McGlynn would like to open a downtown shuttle service next year. The shuttle would run
past each of 8 to 12 stops every 5 to 15 minutes. There would be about 4 stops on Main Street
and the rest of the stops would be in various off Main parking lots. The general goal of the
service would be to provide connections between parking lots and downtown businesses and
attractions.
DISCUSSION POINTS
The proposed business plan and service information is provided by Mr. McGlynn in the
attachment. He will also be present at the Parking Commission meeting to present his proposal.
Requested of the City are the following items:
Discuss the concept plan and give Mr. McGlynn feedback on his specific requests. Based upon
the feedback, Mr. McGlynn will submit a detailed proposal with proposed locations and specific
requests. It will be brought back to the Parking Commission for consideration and a
recommendation to the City Council.

Subject: Handicapped Parking on Main St.
John,
Just had a call from Kathy Nelson who complains that when the parking was
taken from Main St. to give a right turn for bridge traffic her handicapped
spot was taken. She wants it back because she loves to shop in the Dowtown
and this was a really good place. She knows that that spot is lost, but
near on Main would do.
