HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-02-04 HPC MINHERITAGE_ PRESERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES The Heritage Preservation Commission met Monday, February 4, 1991 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, 216 North Fourth Street. Present: Jeff Johnson, Marlene Workman Absent: Bob Kimbrel, Shawn Draper, Ray Zaworski Others: Mark Balay, Jim Laskin, Ann Pung - Terwedo. 1. Design Review Permit: Case No. DR /91 -1. A Design Review Permit to renovate a storefront, repair second story windows, a parapet, and awnings, and add new signage at 306 -308 East Chestnut Street in the CBD, Central Business District, Local Historic District. James Laskin, Applicant. Mark Balay reviewed the project as described in his outline. The following is an outline of the project phasing. Phase I - Facade storefront restoration Phase II - Interior Phase III - Interior work on the third floor. The project meets the intent of the Design Review Ordinance, Preservation Ordinance and is a Tax Credit Incentive Project. Approved 2. Tim Stefan was recommended to the City Council for appointment to the Heritage Preservation Commission. 3. The Commission discussed the brochure for the Downtown Commercial Historic District. Marlene recommended a good contact person for information on Downtown Stillwater - Dorothy Foster. The meeting adjourned at 8:00 P.M. Respectfully submitted Ann Pung - Terwedo
