Other Items
Zephyr Update: Ron Gullickson and Russ Hultman representing the Zephyr.
Mr. Gullickson and Mr. Hultman are requesting changes to the approved design for a 430
foot long car port for the Minnesota Zephyr. They want to eliminate the ridge at the top
of the roof and the overhang slope accents. Mr. Gullickson said the overhang
projections would probably be constructed at a later date. He also stated that the roof
would be shingles and the posts would be spread apart farther. Screening will be
installed in the interior of the roof to keep the birds and animals out. Mr. Gullickson said
the changes were being requested because of the budget.
Mr. Tomten said that they needed a complete package, including a site plan and some
building elevations.
Mr. Johnson motioned the project be tabled and an application be brought in to the next
meeting. The application should include: a site plan, elevation drawings and detail
drawings. Mr. Liberman seconded the motion; all in favor.
Fiscal Year End Report to SHPO. Ms. Fitzgerald stated that the Commission had
doubled the number of design reviews from the year before. 1997 they reviewed 36
cases. In the year 1998 they reviewed 72 cases.
