The advertisement for bids were published in the Stillwater Evening Gazette, the official newspaper of the City on September 20, 1979 and in the Construction Bulletin: The following Bids were received: Bid No. 1 Centennial Contracting Corp. Present: Councilwoman Bodlovick, Councilmen Roger Peterson and Mayor Junker Absent: Councilmen Harry Peterson and Powell r • • • • • r • • e October 12, 1979 • 0 Also Present: Finance Clerk, c e D etor /Co rdinator, Nile Kriesel City UNFINISHED BUSINESS - BID AWARD - LOCAL IMPROVEMENT NOS. 171 -73 On motion of Councilman Roger Peterson, seconded by Councilwoman Bodlovick, a resolution was introduced "AWARDING THE BID FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENT . 171 AND 173 TO AUSTIN P. KELLER FOR A BID PRICE OF $476,443.25 ", subject to review of the bid bonds by the City Attorney and the approval of 63rd Street from Greeley Street to the west by the State. AYES -- Councilwoman Bodlovick, Councilman Roger Peterson and Mayor Junker NAYS - -None (see resolutions) MISCELLANEOUS 1. On motion of Councilman Roger Peterson, seconded by Councilwoman Bodlovick, the Council denied the request from the Board of Water Commissioners that the City finance and assess property owners for the cost of repairing leaky water services. AYES -- Councilwoman Bodlovick, Councilman Roger Peterson NAYS - -None ABSTAINED - Mayor Junker 2. On motion of Councilman Roger Peterson, seconded by Councilwoman Bodlovick, the Council authorized the purchase of a pickup truck for the Police Depart - met from te of n the quoted price of price $4,400.00. trade -in (all in favor) The balance of the meeting was for the purpose of working on the 1980 Budget. RESOLUTIONS The following resolution was read and on roll call was unanimously adopted: *1. Awarding the Bid for Local Improvement Nos. 171 and 173 - Austin P.
