Present: Councilwoman Bodlovick, Councilmen Mahoney, Peterson, Powell and Mayor Junker Absent: None Also Present: Acting City Clerk; Schnell; Director of Public Works, Shelton Citizens: George Kisting and Jeff Zoller - McKusick Lake Study Committee Ken Johnson, Minnesota Transportation Museum Jeff Zoller - Planning Commission REVENUE SHARING HEARING 1. Mrs. Georgia Kisting, Chairman of the newly formed McKusick Lake Study Committee appeared before the City Council requesting fuding from the City from the Revenue Sharing Funds for a complete study of the area. She indicated that Mr. Lecuyer is willing to sell and also Mr. Amundson is willing to sell and that possibly Mr. Granquist would sell property to the City for the development of this area by the City. a- On motion of Councilman Peterson, seconded by Councilman Mahoney- Councilman Powell was instructed to attend all of the meetings of the McKusick Lake Study Committee as a laision between the City and the Committee. (all in favor) Mr. Jack Shelton will also be a member of this committee. It was agreed by the City Council that before the level of the lake is raised or any further plans made for the purchase of property, they should contact the DNR to come to a meeting before any further study is ordered since they are the controlling agency in such a project. They would be the agency to contact as to what can be done with this 'ake and make some recommendations as to the development of the area. It was brought out in the discussion that it is possible that the City could use its own crews for the dredging of the lake if that is what the DNR would recommend, but until a meeting is scheduled with the DNR nothing should be done on the matter. 2. JEFF ZOLLER inquired about making some of the Revenue Sharing Funds available for the Master Plan for the City and he was told that there was $3,000 available for same. 3. KEN JOHNSON, Minnesota Transportation Museum, appeared before the City Coundil regarding the renovation of Engine 328 and the allocation of $5,000 to complete the work on this engine. The Council agreed to allocate $2,500 for this project. The Council reviewed all of the requests made by the Citizens and Department Heads for the allocation of the Revenue Sharing Funds at this time On motion of Councilman Peterson, seconded by Councilman Mahoney, a resoltuion was introduced "ADOPTING THE REVENUE SHARING BUDGET ", and any additional accumulated interest from the investments will be added to the General Fund. AYES -- Councilwoman Bodlovick, Councilman Mahoney, Peterson, Powell and Mayor Junker NAYS- -None (see resolutions) RESOLUTIONS - The following resolutions were read and on roll call were unanimously adopted: 1. Adopting the Revenue Sharing Budget. 2. Awarding the Contract for the 1977 Fiscal Audit- DeLaHunt Voto & C -.. Ltd. The meeting adjourned at 5:30 P. M.
