SPECIAL MEETING
The meeting was called to order by President Junker.
Present: Councilwoman Bodlovick, Councilmen Mahoney, Peterson, Thompson
and President Junker
Absent: None
Also Present: Acting City Clerk, Schnell;
City Attorney, Kimmel

December 29, 1976 4:30 P. M.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. On motion of Councilwoman Bodlovick, seconded by Councilman Thompson,
the Council authorized the payment of compensation to Martin Lemon in
the amount of $607.20 less $193.62 owing to the City for Union dues
and Minnesota Benefit Payments accrued from voided Sick Pay checks
issued earlier in the year. (all in favor)
(See letter in the file from Local 49 on this matter which requested
payment of difference on hourly rate set for this employee and the
contract rate)
2. On motion of Councilman Peterson, seconded by Councilman Mahoney, the
Acting City Clerk was directed to write a letter to Mr. Bodin, Business
Agent for the Local 49 requesting a meeting on the proposed contract
for the Public Works Department, said meeting is to discuss the wordking
for Article II, Section 3 which is to be the same as the contract for the
Firefighters. (all in favor)
3. On motion of Councilman Mahoney, seconded by Councilman Thompson, a
resolution was introduced "DIRECTING THE PAYMENT OF THE BILLS ".
4. On motion of Councilman Peterson, seconded by Councilman Mahoney, the
Council authorized the barricading of West Anderson Street from the
ambulance entrance to Everett Street on a temporary basis so that the
Council may make a determination as to what effect the vacation of this
portion of Anderson Street will have on the traffic flow in this area.

5. The matter of a tax abatement for the Birchwood Apartments was referred
to the City Attorney and he is to make a report on January 11, 1977.
6. Discussion was held regarding a letter received from the Metro Council
regarding the taking over of the Oak Park Heights Interceptor and the
Acting City Clerk was directed to send copies of this letter to all members
of the Council.

• The following resolution was read and on roll call was unanimously adopted:
1. Directing the Payment of the Bills.
