ORDINANCE NO.: 982
AN ORDINANCE ELIMINATING
TERM LIMITS FOR MEMBERS
OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION
The City Council of the City of Stillwater does ordain:
1. PURPOSE. The term limits established for Human Rights Commission members is
unduly restrictive and will result in the loss of valued members who wish to continue
serving on the Commission.
2. AMENDING. Section 25-1, subd. 3(3), of the Stillwater City Code is amended by
striking the following language: "no membor may serve more than three consecutive
temTs."
3. SAVING. In all other ways, the City Code will remain in full force and effect.
4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance will be in effect from and after its passage and
publication according to law.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Stillwater this 20th day of Febru 07.
