ORDINANCE NO. 878
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
THE CITY CODE SECTION 41-1, SUB. 3
LICENSING OF CONTRACTORS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STILL WATER DOES ORDAIN:
1, AMENDING. The City Code Section 41-1 Subd, 3 is amended and restated as
folloWs:
Subd, 3. Application requirements. Application must be made to the
city and will be granted by the city clerk upon proof of the applicant's
qualifications and upon filing with the clerk a certificate of insurance
evidencing comprehensive liability insurance, including projects and
completed operations coverage with combined single limits of at least
$600,000.00, having no exclusions for explosion, collapse or
underground coverage. The certificate of insurance must provide for
notice to the city of cancellation. In addition to the requirements for
other contractors, no license may be issued to an electrician, plumber
or mechanical contractor unless proof is provided that he is a holder
of a master certificate issued by the state licensing authority of their
respective trades.
The applicant or any party aggrieved by the city clerk's decision may,
within 10 days of the clerks written decision have the right to appeal
the decision to the City Council.
2, SAVING. In all others ways, the City Code will remain in full force and effect.
3, EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance will be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and publication according to law.
