HomeMy WebLinkAbout0738 Ord (Creating PA-Public Administrative Office Zoning)ORDINANCE NO. 738 AN ORDINANCE CREATING PA - PUBLIC ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE ZONING DISTRICT. The City Council of the City of Stillwater, Washington County, Minnesota, does ordain: 1. Amending. Chapter 31.01 Subd. 21 .1B - General Heavy Industrial District is hereby recinded and a new Subd. 21 is enacted that shall read as follows: "Subd. 21 PA - Public Administrative Office District" 2, Purpose. To provide a district for public, semi- public uses and offices. 3. Principal permitted buildings. and uses. In the Public Administrative Office District, the following buildings and uses, and their accessory buildings and uses are permitted. a. b. ,• a e. f. Administrative offices Medical offices Group day care Schools - public and private, business and technical, studios for arts, crafts, photography, music and dance Public uses - library, post office Churches and other places of worship 4. Permitted uses by Special Use Permit. In the Public and Administrative Office District, the following buildings and uses, and their accessory buildings and uses may be permitted by Special Use Permit. a. Single family, duplex and multi-family residential uses subject to RCM regulations. b. Hospitals, convalescent hospitals and nursing homes. 5. Use determination. Any other use or service establishment determined by the City Council to be of the same general character as the foregoing uses and which will not impair the present or potential use of adjacent properties may be permitted by Special Use Permit. Page -1 - r 6. General Regulations. a. Height of building - maximum: Principal building use 2 stories 35 feet Accessory building 1 story 20 feet b. Minimum lot area: 10,000 square feet c. Setbacks: Front 30 feet Rear 25 feet Side 20 feet Corner side 20 feet d. Additional requirements: All parking areas for three or more cars adjacent to residentially zoned land shall be set back a minimum of ten feet and landscaped to screen the parking area from the. residentially zoned land. 7. Saving. In all other ways the Stillwater City Code shall remain in full force and effect. n 1___! 8. Effective date.
