MINUTES
December 18,1995
Present:
David Junker, chairperson
Richard Cummings, AI Liehr, John Melville, Ken Meister, Delwin
Peterson, Steve Wolff, Judy Gulden and Mike Polehna
Others:
Nile Kriesel, City Coordinator
Sue Fitzgerald, Planning
Absent:
Rob McGarry and Marguerite Rheinberger
Mr. Junker called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Ken Meister, seconded by Mr. Liehr, moved approval of the minutes of November 27,
1995.
Tour of Ice Arena
AI Liehr said that during the tour of the arena that the board had taken before the
meeting started, he noticed that at the northeast corner of the arena a bar across the
door. He explained the bar posed a problem should there be an emergency and that
the fire department look at it. Tim Thomsen will have it checked.
Steve Wolff made a. motion that Public Works inspect the exposed asbestos in the
arena near the Zamboni, Delwin Peterson seconded the motion; all in favor.
Delwin Peterson motioned that an outside ice rink be installed on Lily Lake, Steve Wolff
seconded the motion; aHin favor.
Other Business
Rich Cummings stated that County Road 5 and McKusick walkways are not being
shoveled. Nile said he would talk to Dave Junker about solving the problem.
David Junker reported that the City Clerk needed to know which members were going
to re-enlist for the Park Board by December 20. He stated that Marguerite would not be
running for another term. He said an ad would be put into the paper and interviews
would be at the beginning of the year.
David Junker stated that Brian Willette be asked to come to February meeting to
explain further what he would do in the role of park planning.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
