CITY HALL: 216 NORTH FOURTH STILLWATER, MINNESOTA 55082 PHONE: 612-439-611 e MINUTES STILLWATER PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING September 22, 1992 MEMBERS PRESENT: Wayne Wohlers, Jim Gannon, Alan Liehr Rob McGarry, Ken Meister, and Mike polehn Douglas Hartman, Steve Joyce, David J nker, Tom Lillesve, and Roberta opheim Tim Thomsen MEMBERS ABSENT: ALSO PRESENT: Chairman Wohlers called the meeting to order at 7:10 p. . APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by R. McGarry, seconded by A. Liehr to approve t e minutes of April 28, 1992 as submitted. All in favor. OLD BUSINESS No old business. ~ MCKUSICK LAKE WALKWAY Kim Gifford attended the meeting to discuss her concern with the McKusick Lake Walkway. She recently purchased a lot 0 LeCuyer Drive and is concerned that the walkway will create a p oblem for her with people crossing her property. Wayne Wohlers stated that plans are for a 400 foot boa be built over the water, and in that case, the walkwa affect her property at all. The Board was unable to from a map where the walkway would be in relatio property. He then requested $4,000 for a picnic area alongside the beach, but this also was not approved. Ken Meister asked if the Board could help in process by writing letters to the City Council concern. The total Parks budget request was $96,900; the Council approved $41,900. The total Lily Lake budget request was $134,730; Council approved $56,000. ARENA REPORT e Wayne reported that the arena has been cleaned up bleachers. He heard comments from the high schools arena has improved. Tim reported that the arena is shape for opening October 8.
