Approval PARK AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING TUESDAY, MAY 22, 1990 PARKS BUILDING 6:00 P.M. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. y e CITY HALL. 216 NORTH FOURTH STILLWATER, MINNESOTA 55082 . 612-439-61 1 e MINUTES STILLWATER PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING May 22, 1990 MEMBERS PRESENT: Wayne Wohlers, Jim Gannon, Douglas Ha tman, David Junker, Tom Lammers, Rob McGarr, Roberta Opheim and Mike polehna MEMBERS ABSENT: Steve Joyce, Alan Liehr, and Tom ALSO PRESENT: Dick Blekum and Bob Bielenberg Chairman Wohlers called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Jim Gannon, seconded by David Junker to appr ve the minutes of the April 24 meeting as submitted. All in fa or. OLD BUSINESS e Roberta Opheim reported that the City Council has given with conditions, to the st. Croix Rowing Club to build structure at Kolliner Park. The Club will still need from the DNR. Approval by the Parks and Recreation Boa one-year trial basis. L IL Y LAKE ARENA RENTAL RATES Bob Bielengerg reported that the City Finance Director all departments to decrease expenses or increase revenu year. Bob has calculated both a 4% increase and 5% in ice arena rental fees for the Board's information. Seconded by David Junker All in favor. Bob reported that an ice cream freezer has been donat d to the ice arena. Bob also reported that five conference games and two non- conference games have been scheduled at the arena for n xt year. PARKS TOUR The Board recessed at 6:45 for a tour of the Stillwa er parks with Dick Blekum. Following the tour, the Board reconve ed at the Parks Building. NEW BUS IJiEH Mike Polehna reported that he is working on obtaining lights for the Lily Lake Ballfield from the City of Oak cost would be half of what has been budgeted for lights.
