MINUTES STILLWATER PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING September 16, 1987 MEMBERS PRESENT: Wayne wohlers, Roberta opheim, Alan Liehr, Linda Kluy, Tom Swanson, John Rahm, John Benson, Nelson Jame La and MEMBERS ABSENT: Tom Thoreson ALSO PRESENT: Dick Blekum and Bob Bielenberg Chairman Wayne Wohlers called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Linda Kluy made a motion to approve the minutes of 1987 meeting. Al Liehr seconded the motion. All FALL HOCKEY CLINIC BIDS Gannon, rs, Jim r. Duane gust 19, or. st. Croix Valley Hockey School, Inc., submitted the onl bid for the fall hockey clinic. The bid is for $75 an hour plus tax. Al Liehr made a motion to accept the bid from the st. Croix Valley Hockey School, seconded by John Rahm. All in favor. 1988 BUDGETS Dick Blekum and Bob Bielenberg reported that the City has Budget Workshop meetings scheduled for next week Department; therefore the 1988 Budgets have not approved. Bob Bielenberg discussed preparations for the hockey season regarding air pollution checks and Zamboni maintenance records. He reported that air quality checks will be ma e once a week and the results will be posted. Hr. Bielenb rg also reported on ice time - 1171 hours booked so far, whic is an increase of 57 hours over this time last year. Mr. Bielenberg shared with the Board a two-page for all Zamboni Operators. Discussion followed responsibility for controlling inappropriate behavior. (Duane Nelson arrived) ELKS LODGE REQUEST The Board discussed a request received from the Lodge requesting use of the Lily Lake Tennis Christmas trees during the upcoming season. The next meeting of the Parks and Recreation Board is cheduled for October 21, 1987 at 7:00 p.m. at the Parks Building.
