APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR REBATES FROM NORTHERN STATES
POWER AND GRANT FROM THE STATE OF MINNESOTA
FOR ENERGY IMPROVEMENT MEASURES
AT LILY LAKE ICE ARENA
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that the
applications for rebates from Northern States Power and for a grant from the State of
Minnesota for the improvements recommended to the Lily Lake Ice Arena pursuant to
the audit prepared by the Center for Energy and Environment is hereby approved, and the
appropriate city staff is authorized to sign said applications.
Adopted by Council this 17TH day of March, 1998.

An Energy Grant will be provided to arena owners to reduce the installation cost for the energy improvement measures listed below.
A: enss that receive Energy Grants must submit to CEE an accepted contractor price quote for the approved improvement measure(s)
by May 1, 1998. The measure(s) must be installed and operational by lone 19, 2995.
T'he following restrictions apply to the Energy Grant:
i . The grant amount cannot exceed 50°.0 of the irtstallyd cost.
?. The rota: grant amount fora ;aciliry cannot exceed $25,000 x (~ sheets at the facility;.
3. Bach energy improvcment measure must have a simple payback o''ten years or less.
4. The lrncrgy Grant will not excesd an amount tl:dr will result in a payback on the
imp: ovement packsge of less than 2 years.
5. Available utility rebates must be included in the Energy Grant calculation.
6. The arena owner must provide at least 50% of the total funding. The funding from owners
can come from utility programs, but it can not include Siate grant or loan program sources.
