RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT FOR CURVE CREST BOULEVARD
STREET REHABILITATION (PROJECT NO. 9803, L.I. 335)
WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the council has met and heard and
passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of Curve Crest Boulevard
between Greeley Street and Washington Avenue.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF STILLWATER,
MINNESOTA:
1. Such proposed assessments, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby
accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of
land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of
the assessment levied against it with the following exceptions
2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of ten (10)
years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January 1999, and
shall bear interest at the rate of seven percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this
assessment resolutions To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the
date of this resolution until December 31, 1998. To each subsequent installment when due shall be
added interest for one year on all unpaid installments.
3. Property owners may at anytime prior to certification of the assessment to the county auditor, pay the
entire assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City of
Stillwater Treasurer. NO INTEREST WILL BE CHARGED IF THE ENTIRE ASSESSMENT IS
PAID BY NOVEMBER 15, 1998. If the assessment is not paid by November 15, 1998, accrued
interest from the date of the adoption of the assessment roll through December 31, 1999 will be added
with the first installment due in 1999. If payment is not received by November 15, 1998, the amount
listed above will be collected over a 10-year period with interest added at 7 % per year on the unpaid
balance. The yearly installments will be collected with the property taxes that are paid to Washington
County. At anytime thereafter, prior to November 15"' of any year, pay the remaining principal
balance (in whole or part) to the City of Stillwater.
4. The clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the county auditor to be
extended on the property tax lists of the county. Such assessments shall be collected and paid over in
the same manner as other municipal taxes.
Adopted by the council this 6"' day of October, 1998.

APPROVAL OF THE PURCHASE OF A GENERATOR AND
CHANGE ORDER # 10 FOR THE
ST. CROIX VALLEY RECREATION CENTER
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, that the
purchase of a generator to provide emergency energy service for the air dome and
Change Order # 10 for the construction of the St. Croix Valley Recreation Center in the
amount of $60,006.00 is hereby approved:

1. Monument Sign $29,467.00
2. Signage for Building $ 9,407.00
3. Paint exposed HVAC Ducts in Ice Arena Lobby
& Rink $ 1,092.00
4. Additional Signs for Parking Lot $ 472.00
5. Additional Post to mount Fire Alarm in Lobby
at Front Door $ 293.00
6. Neenah Frame and Grate for Existing Manhole
in Orleans St. $ 422.00
7. Cable TV/Video Taping for Ice Arena & Dome $ 4,110.00
8. Grading & Landscaping of the SE corner of
property. $14,743.00
TOTAL $ 60,006.00
