RESOLUTION NO. 99-217
APPROVING PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT
FOR BIDS FOR WATER MAIN AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS TO
SERVE 62ND STREET
(PROJECT 9912)
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on August 3, 1999, the City
Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the making of Water Main and Street
Improvements to serve 62nd Street (Project 9912); and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented plans and specifications for the improvements
to the Council for approval and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
STILL WATER, MINNESOTA:
I. The plans and specifications presented by the City Engineer are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk is ordered to prepare and cause to be inserted in The Gazette and in the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making ofthe improvement under
the approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published once in the
Stillwater Gazette and twice in the Construction Bulletin, shall specify the work to be done,
shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until Monday, August 26, 1999 at
10:00 a.m. at which time they will be publicly opened at City Hall by the City Engineer; will
then be tabulated and will be considered by the Council at their next regular Council meeting
on September 7, 1999, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is
questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the
Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed
with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified
check payable to the Clerk for ten (10) percent ofthe amount ofthe bid.
