RESOLUTION NO. 93-118
WHEREAS, the Downtown Council, a subcommittee of the Stillwater Area Chamber
of Commerce, and the City of Stillwater, would like to work in a cooperative
effort for the betterment of the Downtown Stillwater business community and to
maintain a quality image of our historic rivertown;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Stillwater
that the following temporary signage and street furniture be allowed for a
period of six months, UNTIL JANUARY 7, 1994:
1. Sandwich Boards
- not to exceed three feet in height and two feet in width
2. Open Sign
- not to exceed thirty five inches by eleven inches in area
- the height of the sign shall be hung at seven feet
- the colors of the open signs are optional
3. Statues
4 Tables and Chairs
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Stillwater has the authority to
remove'signage, statues, and tables and chairs which may cause danger to the
public or impedes appropriate movement of pedestrians on a public sidewalk.
