HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-043 - . r RESOLUTION NO. 92-43 RESOLUTION VACATING PART OF ALDER STREET WHEREAS, a petition was presented praying for vacation of a portion of Alder Street, City of Stillwater, Minnesota, hereinafter described; and, WHEREAS, the Council determined that the petition was sufficient; and that the City is a Home Rule Charter City of the third class and that it was proper for the City Council to proceed with the vacation pursuant to Minn. Stat. ~440.135; and, WHEREAS, at a meeting duly call for that purpose, the City Council did on the 4th day of March, 1992, determine that the proposed vacation would not interfere with or defeat the public interest or adversely affect the public, and that it would be in the best interest of the City of Stillwater that a portion of the street be returned to the tax roles. r NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Stillwater, that the petition be granted in the form hereafter set forth and that the following part of Alder Street, as presently laid out and platted, be and the same is hereby vacated: All that part of platted Alder Street in the recorded plat of Carli and Schulenburg's Addition, Washington County, Minnesota, described as follows: Beginning on the North line of Alder Street at its intersection with the West line of platted Lake Street, if extended North; thence West along said North line of Alder Street 128.00 feet; thence South, parallel with said extended West line of Lake Street 5.00 feet; thence West, parallel with said North line of Alder Street, 128.00 feet to the intersection with said extended West line of Lake Street; thence North along said extended West line of Lake Street, 5.00 feet to the point of beginning. Parcel contains 640 square feet or 0.015 acre, more or less. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution duly certified by the City Clerk shall be recorded in the office of the County Recorder, Washington County, Minnesota. r Adopted by the affirmative vote of all the members of the City Council this 4th day of March 1992. ~~' Wall Abrahamson, Mayor ATTEST:
