Home My WebLink About1992-145 r RESOLUTION NO. 92-145 RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENTS FOR GREEN TWIG WAY, L.I.282 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on February 18, 1992, the Consulting Engineer prepared plans and specifications for the improvement known as the Green Twig Way Improvement, L.I. 282; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held thereon the 17th day of March, 1992 at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon and the improvements were dUly ordered by the City Council. Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. was designated as engineers for this improvement and ordered to prepare plans and specifications for the making of the improvement; and WHEREAS, on May 5, 1992, Resolution No. 92-106 was adopted ordering the advertisement for bids for the improvement of Green Twig Way, L.I. 282, bids were received by the City Council on June 2, 1992 and all bids were rejected. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF STILLWATER, MINNESOTA: r 1. Such plans and specification are approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be re-inserted in The Courier and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 11:00 A.M. on August 3, 1992, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of City Hall by the City Clerk and Engineer, will then be tabulated and will be considered by the Council at 7:00 P.M. on August 4, 1992 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for ten (10) per cent of the amount of such bid.
