RESOLUTION NO. 92-130
A RESOLUTION CORRECTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL
FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENT #257
RE: PARCEL NO. 145
WHEREAS, a mistake was made in the assessment roll adopted
with regard to Local Improvement #257 in that one of the properties
shown on the roll did not have the square footage of the parcel
computed properly and therefore the assessment levied against the
property was levied by mistake.
The property, shown as Parcel No. 145 on the assessment roll,
involves Lots 2 and 3, Block 31, original Town, now city of
Stillwater and is owned by the Bayport Foundation, 287 Central
Avenue, Bayport, MN 55003.
The correct square footage of the parcel is 15,000 square feet
and therefore the proper assessment against the property at $1.01
per square foot should have been $15,150.00.
It will be necessary to correct this mistake to amend and
correct the assessment roll for this parcel which is No. 10693-
2400, and in addition, since the amount certified to the auditor
for collection in the year payable 1992 was an improper amount, a
petition for abatement must be prepared and filed with the County
r- of Washington.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement #257 is
hereby amended with regard to Parcel No. 145 of the roll, which is
also known as Parcel No. 10693-2400, effecting that the true and
actual square footage of this parcel is 15,000 square feet and the
assessment that should have been spread against the parcel payable
as set forth in the original adopting resolution be $15,150.00 and
the roll is hereby is corrected, nunc pro tunc, to reflect this
change.
2. That the city Treasurer, the City Clerk, and if necessary,
the city Attorney, are hereby directed to take action to effectuate
this correction including the changing of the roll now and in
future years and the filing of the appropriate abatement requests.
Adopted by the city Council of
day of June, 1992.
