HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-037 -' . - RESOLUTION NO. 91-37 o WHEREAS, the City staff has spent significant time and effort in negotiating with the Glacier Park Company for the purchase of certain land in the downtown area. The land is described with particularily in Exhibit "A" to this Resolution, and is commonly known as the Mulberry Point Property that contains also the Hooley's Supermarket site and the Lumberman's Exchange Building, and WHEREAS, the City staff has negotiated a purchase price for this property that is substantially under the appraised value placed upon the property by R. W. Kirchner and Associates, and WHEREAS, the City staff has advised that certain contingencies should be placed upon the City's obligation to purchase this property, more particularily described in the Exhibit "A" attached hereto. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City enter into an Agreement to purchase certain lands from the Glacier Park Company, the lands being described in Exhibit "A", on the terms and conditions set forth ~ in Exhibit "A". The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute this Agreement on behalf of the City. The City treasurer is authorized to issue a check in the amount of $50,000 as earnest money to accompany this purchase. Enacted this 5th day of March, 1991. ~~ Wally rahamson, Mayor Ajtest: .
