RESOLUTION NO. 91-21 r '- A Resolution Directing the city Staff to Request that the County Auditor Apportion the Delinquent Taxes and Assessments on Certain Property Within Oak Glen WHEREAS, Oak Glen Development Company still owns outlots which, based upon the preliminary plat approved for the Oak Glen project by the City Council, will eventually be platted into 131 additional lots, and WHEREAS, each outlot comprises a separate parcel for real estate taxing purposes, and special assessment and ad valorem taxes due in the years 1987 through 1990, and penalties and interest accrued thereon as well as installments of special assessments and taxes due in 1991 have not been paid, and WHEREAS, the outlets were sold for taxes in 1988, and the formal period for redemption will expire on May 1, 1991, and WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the City that the property be subdivided so that individual buyers would be available for each lot in the proposed subdivision. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: ~ That the City Attorney and the City Coordinator should meet with the County Auditor in an effort to convince the him that the he should allow the recording of the plats proposed for each outlot and thereupon apportion the delinquent taxes as to each lot so subdivided.
