RESOLUTION NO. 91-100
APPROVING PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
L.I. 273, HIGHLANDS OF STILLWATER
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on May 21. 1991, the
City Consulting Engineer, Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. has prepared plans
and specifications for the construction of streets, utilities and
appurtenances in an area described as follows:
The north 580 feet of the west 700 feet of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4;
the north 580 feet of the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 formerly known as a
portion of the Benson Property recently annexed to the City of
Stillwater and lying north of Orleans St. extended easterly of Washington
St.; together with the northerly 700 ft. of Lot 2 and Lot 1 of Prime Site
Subdivision to the Stillwater Industrial Park and the westerly 250 ft. of
Parcel 4, Outlot B, Stillwater Industrial Park;
and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEO BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF STILLWATER, MINNESOTA.:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof, are hereby approved.
~ 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official
paper (and in the Construction Bulletin) an advertisement for bids upon
the making of such improvement under such approved plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days,
shall specify the work to be done. shall state that bids will be received
by the Clerk until 11:00 A.M. on June 17, 1991, at which time they will be
publicly opened in the Council Chambers of City Hall and will then be
tabulated, and will be considered by the Council at 7:00 P.M. on June 18,
1991 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is
questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to
address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be
considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a
cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the
Clerk for ten percent of the amount of such bid.
Adopted by Council this 21st day of May, 1991.
