RESOLUTION NO. 94-178
APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS
TO STILLWATER CITY CHARTER COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the terms of certain members of the Stillwater City Charter Commission have
expired and the Chief Judge of the District Court of the Judicial District in which the City is
located has not, within thirty (30) days of the expiration of their terms appointed new
members, nor has the Chief Judge indicated in writing to the City of Stillwater his intention to
appoint new members:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF STILLWATER, pursuant to
the terms of Minnesota Statute 410.05, Subd. 2, that Laurie Maher, Richard Slivik, Jr., and
John R. Tunheim be reappointed Nunc Pro Tunc to a term effective May 1, 1994, the term to
expire on May I, 1998, and that this order be effective upon the appointees filing an oath and
acceptance according to law.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it appears that R. Scott Keller has moved from the City
and that his office is therefore vacant, and that the Chief Judge has the responsibility to fill
this vacancy and that the Council respectfully submit to the Chief Judge the names of Joseph
Arndt and Robert Kimbrel, both qualified voters of the City for his consideration for
appointment to fill this vacancy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney is hereby directed to file a certified
copy of this Resolution with the Clerk of District Court, County of Washington, Tenth
Judicial District which is requested to present this Resolution to the Honorable Chief Judge of
the Tenth Judicial District for his information.
Adopted by Council this 2nd day of August, 1994.
