RESOLUTION NO. 94-174
\
ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 1994 STREET IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of 1.1. 296, 1.1. 297,
L.I. 298, L.I. 299, and 1.1. 300 for the improvement of: Northland Avenue, from CSAH No.
12 on the north, to the dead end of Northland on the south, to the south of its intersection
with Sunset Avenue; North William Street from West Mulberry Street on the north, to West
Myrtle Street on the south; North Sherburne Street from West Linden Street on the north to
West Myrtle Street on the south; South Sixth Street from Olive Street on the north to West
Pine Street on the south; and West Mulberry Street from North Owens Street on the west to
North Everett Street on the east; bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law,
and bids were received complying with the advertisement;
AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Tower Asphalt, Inc. of Lakeland, Minnesota, is the lowest
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
STILL WATER, MINNESOTA:
1.
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with
Tower Asphalt, Inc., of Lakeland, Minnesota, in the nanIe of the City of Stillwater for
the construction of the 1994 Street Improvements according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the
next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the City Council this 19th day of July, 1994.
